LETTING GO & LETTING LOVE

I remember the day back when  I got an email from "THE EX" and  it read, "I got your divorce papers today. I just thought we could talk before filing and not involve lawyers. "How many of you have heard these lines before?(Raise your hands here) After you have spent years crying, negotiating, compromising, and oh yeah, talking now suddenly he's amazingly developed a new skill? I mean who really wants to talk after you have been abandoned and waited for 2 years for  him to return. That window of opportunity is carefully closed SHUT! That ship sailed west and never returned! Ha!

At some point after a breakup, we are forced to accept reality, let go of the dreams that were created and begin to create new ones. When we get just a glimpse of what opportunities life is presenting to us, then we are able to let go of what we think we lost a lot easier. Im not suggesting that it doesnt sting a little. But I have spent the last two years cleaning out the closet( my mind) and I have so  much more space here.  I cleaned out things like rejection, fear, confusion, disappointments, unmet expectations, insecurities (boy were they heavy), and self-doubt. It was truly a mess in there.

Then I went to the container store( the Bible really knows how to help you put things in order) and got so much help on organizing my thoughts feelings and emotions. I began to fill my mind up with all sorts of new ideas, emotions, and positive self talk. I soon had shelves for self love, love for God, love for creativity, love for public service, and the greatest love i've ever experienced for the people around me.

So, these days I inspire any woman who has spent countless hours deliberating over "the breakup", let it go and let Love. Let Love consume your thoughts and you will indefinitely find yourself in a new much larger closet. Talk about expanding your mind! You will go from that small 1 panel door,  1 shelf closet to a larger room size boutique full of wonderful dreams, ideas, and healthy emotions.

Sisters, let go and let love consume you......the rewards are limitless
