EYE'S WIDE OPEN!
When my kids were little I used to make them ride roller coasters to attack their fears... until finally they love them more than me I think. But now the roles are reversed. Recognizing that mom had fears too, now they always force me to ride on the front row of each roller coaster to face my own fears.
What they DON'T know is that I love roller coasters and I love the thrills, but I never like to LOOK - especially on the first drop! Just like in life, I normally can go through all of the ups and downs but most times I prefer to hide my face and just ride the storm out.... normally I'd run for the middle section of the roller coasters! But I realized today when I do that, I am missing out on an amazing view!
Sometimes we all need to learn to ride through the storms with our eyes wide open...that way we get to see all that God is doing along the way.
